Faciltator Training August 29, 2011

This was held at Jefferson County Extension Office in Pine Bluff, AR. The training session began at 4p.m., Bobby Hall facilitated training, he was excellent! Lee Turner not only provided fish but deep fried fish (with his own cooker) outside the building, It was fabulous! Fish bowl activity completed by participants. Lots of education on Turning the Tide on Poverty and facilitator demonstrations. Kick Off event tentatively scheduled for September 30th, 2011.

August 12, 2011 Meeting @10:00 a.m.

Today we met in the Red Cross Room at the Reynolds Building. A good turn out as far the progress and participants. Facilitator training will be Monday, August 29, 2011 from 4:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at the Jefferson County Extension Office Conference Room. Fried fish will be provided.
Base Kick Off Event Tentatively September 9, 2011 or Spetember 30, 2011.
Facilitators for Watson Chapel will be Roxie Balenton and Holly Sutton.
I am working on a location for community circles meeting.

Turning the Tide on Poverty in Watson Chapel, AR: Community Event: "National Night Out. Sponsored by the Pine Bluff Police Department Free family entertainment. Tues. 6-9 p.m. Tuesday August 2, 2011."

Salem Missionary Baptist Church is moving further down Sulphur Springs Rd. The old building they moved out from would make a great community center. It is across Sulphur Springs Rd. from Watson Chapel High School.
